- The emphasis of this drill is on the “delivery” phase of the pitcher’s motion.
- The sequencing will help the pitcher improve their timing.
- Pay close attention to the Figure K setup: feet slightly angled, with most of the weight on back foot, and the ball facing away (toward second base) while glove hand points at the target.
- This will allow the pitcher to develop a proper stride, focusing on the hips and back foot drag, so the throwing arm stays through the correct release slot.
