Cal State Fullerton Head Coach will bring on-demand video skills and drills for younger players

YSPN360 Kelly FordFebruary 27, 2017 – Studio City, CA; Youth Sports Network Interactive Media (YSM) announced today that Cal State University Fullerton Titans head softball coach Kelly Ford has joined its YSPN360.com youth sports coaching and education staff. Kelly is in her 5th year with the Titans and was named Big West Conference Coach of the Year in 2016. YSPN360.com is a free web based youth sports training and education resource for coaches, young players and their families.

Kelly was a standout collegiate fastpitch softball player and junior college head coach prior to heading the Cal State Fullerton program. She teaches game fundamentals as well as higher skill levels with age-appropriate training and coaching techniques. She’ll be joining the baseball and softball coaching team at YSPN360.com to help bring its comprehensive youth sports programs to players, parents and youth sports coaches.

About Kelly Ford
Kelly Ford is in her 5th year as women’s fastpitch softball coach for the NCAA Division One Cal State Fullerton Titans. In 2016, the Lady Titans won the Big West Conference championship and she was named Coach of the Year. Prior to joining Cal State Fullerton, Kelly was Head Coach at Mount San Antonio Junior College in Walnut, Calif. Ford guided the Mt. San Antonio program to four California State Championships (2003, 2005, 2007, 2009), seven South Coast Conference Championships (2003-08, 2001) and earned South Coast Conference Coach of the Year honors five times.

Ford’s 11-year career at the community college ended with an amazing 455-102-1 (.816) record. Prior to Mt. San Antonio, she served as NCAA Division One Assistant Coach at her alma mater, Oklahoma University as well as a stint at Cal State Northridge. Her coaching philosophy is to constantly build and rebuild so the highest level of excellence is achieved.

A native of Portland, Oregon, Kelly excelled in softball, basketball and volleyball in high school. She played two NJCAA National Championship seasons at Central Arizona College in 1988 and 1989 before a stellar career with University of Oklahoma. Kelly has a Master’s degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Coaching.
