- Young catchers will often have their feet too close together and be on their toes rather than the balls of their feet.
- This limits your flexibility and stability
- Being on their toes with their feet close together is often easier for young catchers because getting wide with their feet almost flat is very difficult and it take strength, balance and flexibility
- Be patient with them – work in small doses on this. If they are able to get in the primary position but it’s hard for them to get low, give it time… they’ll get there.
